Application Procedure

Application information and selection criteria can be found on the central University pages here.

Before submitting a full application for a position on the programme, all candidates are required to send a copy of their most recent CV via e-mail to the Academic Administrator at to assess your suitability for the course. If advised to submit an application, all applicants are required to follow the University guidelines on the admissions process.

Applications for entry in 2020-21 are now open. Please contact in the first instance for advice on how and when to apply.

The fastest, most efficient and preferred method of application is via the secure online application form. In exceptional circumstances, a paper application form can be requested from Graduate Admissions. The code for the EPSRC Sustainable Approaches to Biomedical Science CDT programme of study is R5_2.

In order to apply for a Studentship (whether Research Council or industry funded) and place on the programme, it is essential that candidates enter the correct Studentship Code on the application form.

Non-UK candidates are encouraged to explore alternative funding options as well; the application deadline by which most University scholarships are considered has now passed. For further information, please see for details.

Please note that the University has imposed an application fee, details of which are found in the Application Guide. This fee is payable for each application made, unless you are also applying for associated courses listed under Multiple Applications here. The application fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application.
